Bio

Recently relocating from Bristol to Jávea on Spain's Costa Blanca, the ever-elaborate Beat Mongrel is an empowered Techno artist with an interesting palate. With deep roots in Jazz Fusion, Indie and Rock in his early years, his transition into electronic music carries with it a similarly emotive and passion-driven energy throughout.

Inspired both musically and technically by the likes of Joey Beltram, Richie Hawtin, Gaiser, among others, Beat Mongrel’s approach to music leans in the direction of endless possibility and constructing an image through layers of sound. Throughout the years, absorbing the rich and diverse musical culture of his hometown, Beat Mongrel’s understanding of electronic music has aided in the development of refining himself as an artist.

Although widely diverse and adaptable - as any industry great should be - Beat Mongrel’s main impetus is dancefloor-orientated Techno music, driven explicitly by funk and groove. His arsenal is frequently stocked with music from the likes of Matador, Boris Brejcha, Alberto Ruiz, Pig&Dan and many more of Techno’s standout names; all of which are hailed for their distinguished sonic signatures - much like Beat Mongrel himself.

No stranger to clubland at many levels, Beat Mongrel has appeared at clubs and festivals all over the UK, Europe and the rest of the world. Some of his most notable highlights include Sankeys (Manchester) and Plug (Sheffield), as well as Booom and Blush in his hometown - where he hosted his events, of which he was a resident.

A seasoned DJ at heart, he is now fully invested in growing into a fully-fledged artist in his own right.

With much to look forward to in the coming months and years, Beat Mongrel is primed and ready to stake his claim on the global Techno stage.
